Music News Blitz is a website and brand driven by the mission to provide a platform for aspiring music writers and content creators to showcase their talents through placements and internships.
We provide an environment where student writers and freelance content creators can cut their teeth, learn their craft and showcase their skills.
We also teach all content creators about SEO, marketing, video, social media, business development, content strategy and revenue generation.

Our content team
The brand is headed up by Content Editor Harvey Cotterill, with support from Sports News Blitz Co Founder Matt Dudley, Content Creators Nicole Powell and Charlie Gardner and aspiring music writer Amelia Da Costa.
Harvey Cotterill told Sip Media Solutions in a Linked In announcement: “What started as a simple idea in January has become one of the most exciting projects I've worked on yet.
“The vision for Music News Blitz was to create a brand that promotes emerging artists, develops young writers and celebrates music rather than tearing it apart.
“The website was launched in February with the support from Simon Wilkes and members of the SIP Media team. Shortly after, in April 2025, the social platforms were launched.
“Since then, we've built:
- A TikTok channel with 189 Followers, 29K+ likes and over 318K views.
- A website featuring articles by talented student writers.
- A growing following on Instagram, X and YouTube (with Matthew Dudley leading long-form content and launching the ‘Mic Drop’ podcast)
“We post daily short-from content made by music lovers, for music lovers.
“We aim to become a recognised name in music media, spreading the love for music that started this project.
“This is only the beginning…”
